HYDRATION THIS SUMMER

03 June 2019

Hydration is essential when it comes to making a checklist in this summer season. The pro tip to keep yourself fit and away from fatigue is to keep hydrated all day long. Here are a few tips on how we at Burn Gym with personal trainers in Chandigarh can help you stay hydrated this summer.

Eat to Hydrate

To our surprise only 70-80% of our daily hydration needs to come from water; the rest of the 20-30% should actually come from food! All whole fruits and vegetables contain a good amount of water, much on these to get your hydration right.

Make a Water Schedule

If it feels nearly impossible to sip down 2 litres of water in a day, for it, you might want to come up with a hydrating schedule. Start your mornings by drinking 2-3 glasses of water, your body will appreciate the morning quencher. Drinking a pre-decided number of glasses or litres of water throughout the day (and before, during, and after a workout) can also help you keep a track.

96% water: Celery

          95% water: Tomatoes, radishes

93% water: Red, yellow, green bell pepper

          97% of water: Cucumber

Go Coconut(s)

Opt for coconut water, it is a mineral-rich liquid from the inside of young, green coconuts. Containing all good things like potassium, magnesium, sodium, and calcium, coconut water helps replenish lost fluids and electrolytes from exercise and hot summer temperatures. Try putting some in the freezers as chilled coconut water ice cubes or ice pops for a refreshing, hydrating summer treat.

Invest in a Reusable Water Bottle.

Don’t use cheap throwaway plastic water bottles that also harm the environment, buy a good quality plastic water bottle as it also helps you track your water intake each day. This way, keeping the bottle nearby, you’ll be more likely to sip throughout the day.

You’ll be fitter and be better hydrated by following these steps. We at Burn Gym best gym in Chandigarh always aim to work for what’s better for your body.
